The purpose of this training is to provide online users with an understanding of what the dangers of using social media are as well as ways to protect yourself from those dangers. Upon completion of this program, you will be able to: define what social
media is,
understand the dangers of social media use, understand some of the popular social
media terminology, understand ways to protect yourself when using the internet and social
media sites and understand personal and professional implications of social media.
Cyber Safety presented by Tom McClain from the Tuscarora Intermediate Unit 11.
This session will provide an overview of the common online cyber attacks and
preventative measures. Several tools/tool kits will be presented to help with staff training and best practices.
