SAPDC Marketing & Communications Presented by Benjamin J. Mazur, Marketing and Communications Specialist Benjamin J. Mazur is the Marketing and Communications Specialist at Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission (SAP&DC). As manager of the Marketing and Communications Assistance Program, Mr. Mazur helps small and medium sized businesses in the six-county region by creating comprehensive marketing plans and strategies for these businesses. With the support of their generous sponsors, SAP&DC provides marketing assessment and marketing plan development services FREE of charge. Before arriving at SAP&DC, Mr. Mazur worked at numerous advertising agencies, media production companies, and internet startups as creative director, founder, manager and more. During these tenures, Mr. Mazur has worked with hundreds of clients and earned dozens of awards and citations for his work including Best in Show and “Young and Upcoming Businessperson” in a regional business publication, “Business Hall of Fame: Technology” from a local chamber and as a “Top 100 Producer in America” in a leading trade publication. Mr. Mazur has also taught two semesters of corporate communications, an advanced upper-level course at Penn State, as an adjunct professor.
