The Community and Economic Development Program Manager at Southern Alleghenies Planning and Development Commission, Lindsay Pyle, will be joining us to discuss different types of grants they offer from water infrastructure, to roads, and outdoor recreation. Lindsay will talk about what makes a strong grant application and how they can assist with finding grants and helping to write grants. She will also be covering our regional comprehensive plan called Alleghenies Ahead, and discuss how it relates to the different types of grants.
Lindsay has been with the Commission for four years. The Planning and Community Development Division at SAP&CD works closely with the 6 county planners, boroughs, municipalities, non-profits, and many elected officials to help see community development projects from start to finish. They help applicants apply for many types of funding sources from local to federal funding. The division also focuses a lot of time to managing transportation projects in our four rural counties.
